A very nice position and friendly and efficient personnel.
Nothing negative but for the hefty price.

The location was great! The view from our room was amazing! The breakfast buffet was a nice way to start the day - good food - good selection.
No concierge desk / service. Front desk staff was not as responsive or helpful as I would expect in a high end hotel. No ice machine as indicated on the 6th floor. No furniture / drawers for clothes - the closet was a little small for my wife and I for a full week.

outstanding breakfast (although the coffee available in coffee machine could be stronger and less watery!), free wifi in the room and outstanding views of the Tromso Sound

The staff are great, kind and willing to assist in any kind of request you might have. Especially Vera! Breakfast is indeed for royalty. Location is perfect for lazy people, as most of the buses heading any direction leave from outside the hotel, including tours. The view from the room was fine, especially that we were upgraded on our arrival, due to vacancy. And the bed was fantastic! Very comfortable!
Not that it was a big issue, but the room is not very spacious. Then again it conforms to Norwegian standards. Also, the room was clean, but the hotel is a little worn out. The price of the parking is quite high, but it is advised on the hotel page and it is no surprise. Altogether, I would definitely stay again at this hotel.

Rooms were a good size and had nice views of the harbour and mountain. Within easy walking distance to all shops and restaurants (even in the snow!).
Reception staff were not very well informed about local restaurants they could suggest for dinner. No concierge either.

Location , if you are ging for Northern lights this is the place to say as Artic Tours operate from there
This is a transit Hotel , they know that you are coming there for a short time so this is not a leisure Hotel so service is basic

The hotel location is brilliant cannot be faulted and the view form the bedroom the best ive had tromso poeole are very freindly in a nice small clean town. The reception staff we spoke to were excellent. The cost of holidays in norway is expnesive from a uk view so a few days rather than weeks
My only fault is the lack of tea/coffee at one of the bars which shuts at 10.30 pm and there is no tea facilitries in the room ,so you go without. All in all a minor quibble easliy corrected and overall an excellent hotel.

Very pleasant stay with superb breakfast buffet. Lovely view from the room.
But room small for a superior room, and no facilities such as hot tubs, saunas in the hotel.

The breakfast is amazing - lots of choice, local and international. The rooms were clean and warm, staff friendly. The location is great - good for visiting the city centre or as a base for further afield. (Buses and coaches pick up right outside and taxis just around the corner.)

We liked the position in Tromso, our superior room, the quietness and comfort of our room and the breakfasts. We also enjoyed one dinner in the restaurant. We liked coffee and tea which was complimentary. Finally we basked in the heating of the whole hotel as it was minus 1-8 outside.
A small range of bar snacks.
